Autoclave Engineers

Autoclave Engineers was founded by Fred Gasche in 1945 to fill a gap in the world of high pressure and high temperature technology. Autoclave has created and produced many novel pressure vessel designs as well as made significant break throughs in high pressure technology such as the MagneDrive® magnetically coupled agitator. We have made these developments through commitments to constant innovation and hiring the best technical personnel available. This commitment is supported and encouraged by our parent company Snap-tite, Inc.

Pressure Vessels

Autoclave Engineers’ Pressure Vessels are available in several different closure styles, materials, and sizes. They have been designed for use at very high temperatures and pressures. Can be used for batch type chemical reactions, downhole simulation, catalyst research, or as ballast vessels

Stirred Reactors

Stirred Reactors are available from the cost-effective Mini-Reactor up to production sizes. An extensive array of options cover materials of construction, heating/cooling methods, high pressure and temperature ratings, type of closure and multiple internal component options to meet most reactor requirements.

Laboratory Reaction Systems

Autoclave Engineers can provide custom reactors or multiple reactor systems to meet the any customer requirement. The Autoclave Engineers’ Bench Top Reactor Systems (BTRS) are designed for fixed bed or fluidized bed, vapor-phase catalyst development processes.

Magnetically Coupled Mixers

Autoclave Engineers’ MagneDrives® provide high speed, magnetically coupled mixing in high-pressure situations without contamination of the process. The MagneDrives® are available in wide variety of sizes from small laboratory sizes up to production plant mixer sizes. These high-speed mixers are used for gas dispersion, liquid blending and solids suspension.

Catalyst Reactors

Available from Micro to Pilot scale in stainless steel or assorted high-temperature, corrosion resistant alloys. Autoclave Engineers offer a variety of reactors for use with liquids, gases or solids with stationary, spinning or falling catalyst baskets.
